Luke Combs has shared a preview of his upcoming single on social media. The new song, “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” drops on Thursday, May 16 with a music video in tow.
On Instagram, Combs said, “Pumped to let y’all know my next single on country radio will be “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” – a song written for and featured in the @twistersmovie. The song and music video will be out May 16 at 8 AM ET.”
He added, “Pre-save/add the song via the link in my bio/story.”
A snippet of the song pre-released on Instagram sounds and TikTok gives fans a sneak peak of what to expect.
It’s a twangy, percussive tune with rockin’ electric guitar. Combs sings that there’s no love in Oklahoma, and that you’ll know when a twister is coming from the wind and rain.
What movie soundtrack will include Luke Combs’ new single?
The new single will mark the first release from “Twisters: The Album,” the soundtrack to Universal Pictures’ upcoming film “Twisters.” The movie will hit theaters on July 19, starring Glenn Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
The move will be an update on the 1996 film “Twister.”
The plot centers around storm-chasers who, in an attempt to test a new weather system, risk their own lives.
