The year 2025 is all set to come to an end, and with it, we look back on all the movies the Indian entertainment industry, Bollywood and other regional languages, had to offer. While we got the opportunity to watch many very well-made patriotic films, biographies, to pointless actioners, which failed due to absurd plot and poor VFX and CGI works, as well as crass comedies, filmmakers came up with some of the best romance films. Taking a trip down memory lane, let’s revisit five Bollywood movies which were loved by the audience.

Tere Ishk Mein

Co-starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, Tere Ishk Mein was directed by Aanand L. Rai. The film was released in theatres on November 28. While it is being reported that the streaming rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix, the makers are yet to share an official confirmation on the same. Talking about the audience reaction while watching the film in theatres, Tere Ishk Mein had left the viewers in tears as they watched the heartbreaking love story of Shankar and Mukti. Many had taken to their social media platforms to gush about it.

Saiyaara

Mohit Suri truly brought back the wave of romance films the audience had been missing for quite some time. Starring debutant Ahaan Panday and actress Aneet Padda, the film released in July 2025. Currently streaming on Netflix, the film became one of the most talked-about Bollywood films because of the audience reactions that went viral. From fainting to crying inconsolably, many couples were seen embracing each other as the end credits rolled in. Videos of such incidents had taken the internet by storm, with fans hailing Ahaan and Aneet for their performances in the film.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat starred Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa. Released on October 21, 2025, the film is currently streaming on Zee5. Riding on the wave of Saiyaara, this obsessive love story found its place in today’s youth, who resonate with broken relationships. The movie did quite well at the box office, coming as a surprise as it had been released alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Thama.

Metro… In Dino

Anurag Basu’s passion project, despite facing delays, was finally released in 2025. Metro… In Dino co-starred Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sensharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Ali Fazal in lead roles. It was earlier announced in December 2022. The movie was very well received by the audience. After doing a decent job at the box office, it is currently streaming on

Sitaare Zameen Par

A spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan’s last release Sitaare Zameen Par was directed by R.S. Prasanna. It marked the debut of 10 specially-abled actors – Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. The slice-of-drama stole the hearts of the audience as it raised awareness about Neurodivergent adults and served as an inspiration for the parents of Neurodivergent children.
