Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past is the latest supernatural horror film from Bollywood, written and directed by Vikram Bhatt. It is a spiritual sequel to the 2011 film Haunted 3D and stars Mahaakshay Chakraborty (also known as Mimoh Chakraborty), Chetna Pande, Gaurav Bajpai, Hemant Pandey, Shruti Prakash, and Praneet Bhat.

The movie surprised trade pundits with its collections during the opening weekend. Many wrote it off as a non-starter, but the film collected close to Rs. 10 crore nett in three days without any support from offers or discounted ticket prices. What’s even more surprising is that Haunted 3D is the biggest earner among all Hindi films that released last Friday.

The solid trend of Haunted 3D once again underlines the craze the horror genre enjoys in India and the need to make more terrifying films that can rake in big money at the box office.

Audiences love to get scared, and filmmakers should take note of what viewers want and attempt more such films. Haunted 3D is produced by Anand Pandit, Javed Khan King, and Shwetambari Bhatt, with Mahesh Bhatt serving as the presenter.
