Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya-starrer latest aerial actioner, Sky Force, released just before Republic Day 2025. After a rather lukewarm opening, the movie showed surprising growth over the weekend. It’s safe to say that it ended its first weekend on a promising note. Sky Force needs to pass the crucial first Monday test to prove its potential of a powerful theatrical run.
‘Sky Force’: Box office collection till now
Sky Forcedid a business INR 12.25 crore on day 1, which is low for a film of that scale. But it made up for its disappointing opening with an astonishing growth of almost 80% over the weekend. It minted INR 22 crore.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned INR 27.50 crore, ending the opening weekend on Sunday with a strong domestic net haul of ₹61.75 crore. The makers of Sky Force claimed that the film earned over INR 40 crore in its first two days, so the final opening weekend figure could be closer to INR 70 crore.
Sky Force is an aerial actioner in which Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya star as IAF officers. Pahariya’s debut movie is loosely based on the Sargodha airbase attack of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965.
