Halloween Star Leads Horror Movie Remake
Cineverse has released the official trailer for Silent Night, Deadly Night, its upcoming reimagining of 1984’s cult classic slasher movie. The horror remake is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 12, 2025.
“A twisted reimagining of the controversial classic – After witnessing his parents’ brutal murder on Christmas Eve, Billy transforms into a Killer Santa, delivering a yearly spree of calculated, chilling violence,” reads the official synopsis. “This year, his blood-soaked mission collides with love, as a young woman challenges him to confront his darkness. Have you been naughty?”

What happens in the Silent Night, Deadly Night trailer?
The video introduces Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) as Billy Chapman, who will serve as the movie’s main antagonist. The character was previously played by Robert Wilson in the original 1984 movie. The trailer also provides the audience with some of the movie’s intense and gory sequences, as Billy goes on a killing spree while wearing a Santa Claus costume.
Silent Night, Deadly Night is written and directed by Mike P. Nelson. The cast also includes Ruby Modine as Pamela Varo, Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, David Tomlinson as Max Benedict, Erik Athavale as Geoff, Rick Skene as Elroy, Sharon Bajer as Delphine, and more. It is executive produced by Yolanda Macias, Erick Opeka, Steven Schneider, Jed Benedict, Brad Miska, Brandon Hill, Anthony Masi, Victor Zimmerman, Sarah Eilts, Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, and Grady Craig.
