Cillian Murphy back as Tommy Shelby in the new Peaky Blinders sequel film coming to cinemas and Netflix next March

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man official Netflix trailer
Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby in the electrifying first trailer for the forthcoming Netflix film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
The eagerly awaited film sequel to the hugely successful BBC period crime drama has been penned by showrunner Steven Knight and helmed by director Tom Harper.
The cast boasts several heavyweight names from television and cinema, including Rebecca Ferguson from Dune, Tim Roth of Reservoir Dogs fame, Sophie Rundle from Gentleman Jack, and Oscar-nominated actor Barry Keoghan, known for his role in Saltburn.
The film’s synopsis states: “Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.
“With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders…”, reports Birmingham Live.
The teaser opens with scenes of the legendary gangster as a voiceover questions: “Whatever happened to Tommy Shelby? The famous gypsy gangster.”
Tommy declares “I’m not that man anymore”, before images of a catastrophic explosion flash across the screen.
A woman’s voice then urges him, “Tommy, you’ve got to come back”, prompting him to slam his hands down on a desk as rapid-fire sequences showcase intense action alongside the film’s fresh faces joining the Peaky Blinders universe.
The trailer concludes with Tommy striding determinedly in slow-motion towards the camera before the film’s title appears. Netflix has announced the feature film will arrive in selected cinemas on 6 March before becoming available for streaming a fortnight later on Friday, 20 March.
The one-minute teaser is rapidly accumulating views as thrilled fans flooded the comments section, eagerly awaiting the gripping sequel to the acclaimed drama which wrapped up in 2022.
One YouTube viewer declared: “Holy S#@! Tommy is back. Legendary character, Legendary show, bring it on, By order of the Peaky Blinders.”
Watch Bridgerton on Netflix for free with Sky

Sky is giving away a free Netflix subscription with its new Sky Stream TV bundles, including the £15 Essential TV plan.
This lets members watch live and on-demand TV content without a satellite dish or aerial and includes hit shows like Bridgerton.
Another admirer revealed the trailer gave them “pure goosebumps”, whilst someone else hailed it as “the best Christmas present”.
A third devotee quipped: “My theater just kicked me out for being seated too early to see this movie.”
Supporters had additional cause for celebration as Knight confirmed earlier this year that a fresh chapter of Peaky Blinders will emerge following the film, comprising two six-episode series for the BBC and Netflix.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is in select cinemas on 6th March and on Netflix from Friday, 20th March.
