The Gentleman gets new trailer and poster with digital release date
Capelight Pictures International has announced that The Gentleman will be available in the U.S. on digital on April 14, 2026. The action crime drama stars Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman. A new trailer dropped on March 31, 2026, via IGN Movie Trailers, where it has already accumulated over 3,000 views.
Gabriel Beristain directed the film from a screenplay by Juma Fodde, based on the novel by Carlos Augusto Casas. Originally titled Ya No Quedan Junglas, the Spain and Mexico co-production runs 89 minutes in Spanish and English, with Alvaro Ariza serving as producer. The film first hit Spanish theaters on September 26, 2025. It earned $212,832 worldwide at the box office ahead of its upcoming U.S. digital debut.
Perlman, known for the Hellboy franchise and FX’s Sons of Anarchy, stars as Theo. He is joined by Megan Montaner as Iborra, Hovik Keuchkerian as Sub Inspector Puertas, Marco de la O as Herodes, and Latin Grammy Award nominee Natti Natasha as Olga.
The film follows Theo, known as “The Gentleman,” a former elite soldier living in solitary life in Spain after his wife’s death. His only comfort comes from paying Olga simply to talk.
Olga’s brutal murder drives Theo to unleash his lethal military skills and hunt down those responsible. Iborra, a detective battling addiction, and Herodes, a cold-blooded hitman, simultaneously close in on him, setting up what the synopsis describes as “a violent collision where the past finally settles its debts.”
The production was filmed on location in Donostia, Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country of Spain.
