Hollywood actor John Krasinski has shared his admiration for Indian cinema while reacting to the growing buzz around Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster film Dhurandhar. Although the Jack Ryan: Ghost War star admitted that he has not yet watched the film, he praised the quality and innovation of Indian filmmaking and expressed interest in seeing Ranveer’s much-discussed performance.

Dhurandhar has been making headlines globally for Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of undercover spy agent Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The actor’s emotionally charged performance and the film’s large-scale action sequences have sparked conversations among audiences not just in India but internationally as well.
During a recent interaction, John Krasinski was asked whether he had watched Dhurandhar and what he thought about Indian cinema. While responding, the Hollywood actor acknowledged the growing global influence of Indian films and filmmakers.
“I haven’t seen the film. But as far as Indian films at large, some of the most cutting-edge movie making that we have. I know a lot of my filmmaking friends who are out there trying to direct movies are constantly and consistently blown away by films coming out from over there,” Krasinski said.
His comments have quickly gained attention online, especially among Ranveer Singh fans, as the comparison between Krasinski’s iconic spy character Jack Ryan and Ranveer’s Dhurandhar character has become a major talking point on social media. Both characters are portrayed as undercover operatives navigating dangerous missions while carrying deep emotional conflicts.
Krasinski also revealed that he would be interested in watching the film in the future. “Of course. I love watching anything. It’s always inspiring to see what everybody else is doing,” he added.
Ranveer Singh’s performance in Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the most celebrated performances of his career. The film not only performed strongly in theatres worldwide but also found renewed success on streaming platforms with the release of the uncut version titled Dhurandhar The Revenge.
