Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced the One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 4K release date for the critically acclaimed 1975 movie, based on the 1962 novel written by Ken Kesey. It was led by Jack Nicholson, whose performance as Randle earned him his first Academy Award for Best Actor.

“A feisty misfit sent to a mental hospital inspires his fellow patients to assert themselves, much to the chagrin of the strong-willed head nurse, who turns out to be more dangerous than any of the inmates,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

When is the One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest 4K release date?

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest will be available for purchase digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc starting November 11. The 4K release will also include new and old special features.

Miloš Forman directed the movie from a screenplay written by Lawrence Hauben and Bo Goldman. The star-studded cast also featured Louise Fletcher as Nurse Ratched, Will Sampson as Chief, Danny DeVito as Martini, William Redfield as Dale, Brad Dourif as Billy, and Christopher Lloyd as Max, with the latter two making their feature film debuts. The movie was produced by Michael Douglas and Saul Zaentz. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
