Reacher’s Alan Ritchson confirmed to lead ‘Memento meets Indiana Jones’ adventure movie
Reacher star Alan Ritchson has landed his next lead role in upcoming adventure movie Fortune.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fortune is being described as Memento meets Raiders of the Lost Ark, though further details are being kept under wraps for the time being.
As well as starring in the movie, Ritchson will produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, marking a reunion between the pair after they worked together on Guy Ritchie’s 2024 action thriller The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
A Minecraft Movie‘s Neil Widener and Gavin James will write the script based on their own short story.
Ritchson himself also confirmed his casting in Fortune by sharing screenshots of the The Hollywood Reporter‘s article to Instagram, captioning it: “So fun.”

The actor has several other movies in the pipeline, including Netflix’s upcoming action film War Machine.
Written and directed by Patrick Hughes, War Machine depicts the journey of the final recruits at a special operations boot camp, with the trainees being thrust into the action quicker than they anticipated after a deadly force from another world threatens Earth.
He’s also set to star alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Christmas film The Man with the Bag, which follows Santa as he turns to his naughty list to recruit former thief Vance to help retrieve his magic bag and save Christmas.

In October, Ritchson was cast as the lead in romantic movie Counting Miracles, an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ book of the same name.
The actor will play a former Army Ranger who returns to his hometown to reconnect with the father he never knew. There, he encounters a doctor who’s juggling her career and her single mum life, and a reclusive man who lives alone.
Other upcoming movies for the actor include new action-thriller Runner from Expendables 4 filmmaker Scott Waugh, ’70s-set movie Motor City, in which he plays a man who seeks revenge after being framed and sent to prison, and upcoming action-comedy Playdate.
