Dharmendra’s Co-Star, Bollywood’s Oldest Actress, Passes On

Concerns are rising among Bollywood fans as several senior actors face health issues. Veteran actor Dharmendra is in critical condition, while Prem Chopra and Govinda were recently hospitalised. Amid these worrying reports, a veteran Bollywood actress has also passed away.

Born in Lahore, Pakistan, this actress spent her entire life in Mumbai, building a stellar career in Hindi cinema. She passed away of old age, leaving behind a legacy as the oldest actress in the industry.

Veteran Bollywood actress Kamini Kaushal has passed away at the age of 98, marking the end of an era in the film industry.

Actress Kamini Kaushal, a co-star of Dharmendra, appeared in numerous films alongside him. Sharing a photo from their first meeting during Shaheed, Dharmendra wrote, “Smiles on both faces… A loving acquaintance.” She also worked with other veteran actors, including Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor.

Bollywood is mourning the passing of Kamini Kaushal, whose family has confirmed her death.

Kamini Kaushal, born Uma Kashyap on February 24, 1927, made her film debut in 1946 with ‘Neecha Nagar‘. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 1955 for Biraj Bahu.

Kamini Kaushal’s illustrious career includes powerful films such as ‘Shaheed‘, ‘Nadiya Ke Paar‘, ‘Shabnam‘, ‘Arzoo‘, ‘Biraj Bahu‘, ‘Do Bhai‘, ‘Ziddi‘, ‘Paras‘, ‘Namuna‘, ‘Zanzar’, ‘Aabru‘, ‘Bade Sarkar‘, ‘Jailer‘, and ‘Night Club‘.

Kamini Kaushal lost her father at the age of seven, and her elder sister died in a car accident. She had two daughters and, following her sister’s death, married her brother-in-law and settled in Mumbai. Born in Lahore, she passed away in Mumbai, where she was laid to rest.
