Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and three others are reportedly being eyed to play Rapunzel in Disney’s live-action Tangled remake.

Disney is developing a live-action remake of Tangled, which was released in 2010. The original animated movie was directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard and features a voice cast that includes Mandy Moore as Rapunzel, Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider, and Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel.

Who is being eyed to play Rapunzel in the live-action Tangled remake?

According to a recent report from Nexus Point News, Sink, Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Emma Myers (Wednesday), and Isabel May (Scream 7) are all being eyed for the role of Rapunzel in the Tangled remake.

The outlet, which has been reliable in providing accurate scoops, mentions that the story is part of the “Nexus Off The Record segment, which covers news we cannot fully confirm or stories that are still developing.” That means that this information shouldn’t be treated as fact, and that things could change as the movie gets closer to going into production.

Having said that, The DisInsider also previously reported that Grace was “at one point” on the radar to play Rapunzel in the Tangled remake, though that was reportedly “before the studio pushed pause on the project earlier this year,” and it is now “unknown if she is still amongst the names that will test for the role.”

Scooper Daniel Richtman also appears to be teasing that Sink is in consideration for the role.
