A rising breakout star from One Battle After Another has officially lined up their next major project. The actor will lead writer-director Niki Byrne’s upcoming coming-of-age drama The Julia Set, now in production in London.

Chase Infiniti, Christopher Briney, Gillian Anderson, and Jason Isaacs have begun filming The Julia Set, a coming-of-age drama written and directed by Niki Byrne, according to Deadline.

Production is underway in London. Infiniti leads the cast as Julia, a gifted mathematician navigating a highly competitive academic environment. Briney plays Pascal, a teaching assistant who recruits her for an elite program preparing students for the Putnam Exam, one of the world’s toughest mathematics competitions.

Jeffrey Penman, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, and Lee Stollman of The Gotham Group produce the film. Anderson, Nick Scherma, Tayler Haynes, Andrey Epifanov, and Eleonora Granata-Jenkinson also serve as producers. The If/Then initiative backs the project, highlighting positive STEM role models. Executive producers Nicole G. Small and Margaret Black oversee the project, with HanWay Films managing global sales. Production partners include Potato Salad Cosmic Domination, G Nus Media, Cinetrain, and Melegrano.

Infiniti rose to fame through Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. She also appeared alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent. Her next role is in Hulu’s The Testaments, the sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale. Briney, known for The Summer I Turned Pretty on Amazon, will reprise his role in its upcoming film adaptation. He will also appear in Season 5 of HBO Max’s Hacks.

Anderson’s upcoming projects include Channel 4’s Trespasses, Netflix’s The Abandons, and Ben Affleck’s Animals. Isaacs recently wrapped Victorian Psycho and is currently shooting Eleven Days with Diego Luna and Taylor Kitsch. The Julia Set continues production in London under Byrne’s direction, representing a collaboration among established and emerging talents across film and television.
