Directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, the film mixes Southern Gothic storytelling with supernatural suspense. It first hit theaters in April 2025 and became one of the year’s biggest surprises at the box office.
Sinners opened with about $48 million in its first weekend, topping charts and earning strong word-of-mouth from audiences. It went on to make over $200 million in the U.S. and about $367 million worldwide, making it one of the most successful original films of the decade.
The IMAX re-release gives viewers a chance to experience the movie’s bold visuals and sound on a massive screen.
“Sinners was made for theaters,” Coogler said in a past interview. “We wanted people to feel every note, every heartbeat.”
The one-week IMAX run will take place in select locations nationwide, including major Louisiana cities. Fans can check local listings for theaters and showtimes.
