Halloween is normally vampires’ biggest time of the year, but they became a smash over the summer with Michael B. Jordan’s hit movie “Sinners.” Now, the vamps are going to be even bigger as the film is reissued for a limited IMAX special to up the horror of All Hallows’ Eve.

When will Sinners return to movie theaters?

Participating theaters will show “Sinners” from Thursday, Oct. 30 through Wednesday, Nov. 5. All of the Regal theaters we found participating in Georgia have showtimes around 9 p.m. or later. The one AMC theater has a mix of evening and midday showtimes. But at any of these theaters, the number of showings are limited.

How much are IMAX tickets to Sinners?

IMAX tickets range depending on the theater chain and even the specific location. We found Regal “Sinners” tickets cost about $21 to $27 for adults, $18 to $24 for children, and $19 to $25 for seniors. AMC tickets for IMAX are about $20 for adults, $17 for kids, and $19 for seniors; however, if you can find a matinee, you’ll get 15% off.

Is Sinners a good movie?

“Sinners” was widely considered a popular and successful movie. It received a 97% among critics and 96% among audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, 84 out of 100 among critics and 7.5 out of 10 among audiences on Metacritic, and 4.1 out of stars on Letterboxd.

According to The Numbers, the movie collected more than $366 million in ticket sales off a budget of $90-100 million.

What Athens movie theaters have Sinners?

While Athens is home to the University 16, as of Thursday, the closest theaters showing “Sinners” are in the Atlanta area.

Regal Atlantic Station is the only theater in Atlanta showing the IMAX “Sinners” reissue. Another nearby one is AMC Southlake Pavilion 24 in Morrow.

The only other Georgia IMAX theater we could find that’s showing the “Sinners” reissue is in Douglasville at the Regal Arbor Place 18.

How to stream Sinners

If you can’t make it to one of the available theaters, you can still stream “Sinners” at home for free if you’re a subscriber of HBO Max. It’s also available on VOD services like AppleTV and Amazon Prime where it costs about $6 to rent or $10 to keep.
