The film follows Peddi, a highly skilled village athlete, who plays local cricket and wrestling to earn daily wages. Striving hard to gain recognition for his unmapped, forgotten hometown, Peddi enters the National Wrestling Championship. However, his dreams are crushed because of a jealous rival. Not ready to give up, Peddi takes drastic measures to transition into a para-track athlete. He also finds himself in a passionate love affair with Achiyamma (Janhvi Kapoor), a local politician’s daughter. Peddi also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani and Ravi Kishan.

Peddi’s opening day collection, worldwide, saw the film gross over Rs 100 crore. As of Day 5, the Ram Charan starrer had earned Rs 315 crore globally. This week will be a litmus test for the Buchi Babu Sana directorial as there are many big releases such as Main Vaapas Aaunga and Disclosure Day.
