Adele making her acting debut in HUGE Hollywood film with Nicholas Hoult & Aaron Taylor Johnson & filming is weeks away
ADELE is set to make her big-screen movie debut after signing up to a major Hollywood movie.
The Hello songstress will be taking on a role in fashion designer Tom Ford‘s brand new flick alongside a wealth of other Hollywood names.
Adele will be appearing alongside acting legends Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Nicholas Hoult in the movie, which is the first from fashion star-turned-filmmaker Tom in a decade.
The movie will be an adaptation of the Anne Rice novel, Cry To Heaven, according to Deadline.
Tom is believed to have written the script as well as directing the movie and producing and financing the cost through his production company, Fade To Black.
It will be the first time that Adele has taken on an acting role in her career and comes four years after she last released an album, 30.
As well as starring alongside Aaron and Nicholas, Adele will be acting alongside recent breakout child star, Owen Cooper.
Owen earned critical acclaim for his leading role in the Stephen Graham and Ashley Walters-led Netflix mini-series, Adolescence.
This marks Owen’s next major project after the success of the award-winning show.
The movie will be set in 18th-century Italy and also features acting talent such as Colin Firth, Ciarán Hinds, George MacKay and Mark Strong.
Paul Bettany, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Hunter Schafer and Josephine Thiesen are also on the bill with Thandiwe Newton, Theodore Pellerin, Daryl McCormack, Cassian Bilton, Hauk Hannemann, and Lux Pascal rounding out the cast.
Filming is understood to be in pre-production in London and Rome with an aim to begin shooting in January.
It is expected to make its screen debut in late 2026.
Tom Ford has been eyeing up working on the movie for over a year but wanted to wait until he had locked down a star-studded cast before moving forward with production.
It will be the first movie he has directed since 2016’s Nocturnal Animals that also starred Aaron Taylor Johnson.
He previously worked on A Single Man with Colin Firth in 2009.
Tom became known for his own fashion label in 2005 having previously been the creative director of Gucci and YSL.
He sold it to The Estee Lauder Company in 2023 for $2.8bn.
