‘The best movie ever made’ has just been added to Netflix
The film has finally landed on Netflix UK and Ireland and fans have branded the period drama one of the best movies ever
Netflix has welcomed a beloved family favourite to its platform, with the musical period drama drawing inspiration from a true story.
While critics offered a mixed reception to the star-studded production, audiences both in cinemas and at home have hailed it as one of cinema’s finest achievements.
Featuring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya, The Greatest Showman has arrived on Netflix UK and Ireland.
The streaming service announced the news on its official X account, declaring: “Ladies and gents, this is the moment you’ve waited for! The Greatest Showman is now on Netflix.”
Subscribers flocked to the comments section to express their delight, with Abs Belsh declaring: “Still by far the best movie ever made. The story and acting too, it is incredible and the songs are so catchy.”

The production offers a dramatised portrayal of P. T. Barnum’s life, the legendary showman and entertainer behind the Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Set in the 19th century, Jackman portrays a young P. T. Barnum who finds himself out of work as a shipping clerk and seeks a fresh business opportunity to support his family.
Reviews from critics were divided, with some applauding the talented ensemble cast and describing it as “groundbreaking and grandly innovative”.
Yet others took issue with the film for being “all smoke and mirrors, no substance”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
