A full trailer for the killer hippo movie Hungry has landed online courtesy of Sky, who will release the film onto their premium movie streaming service Sky Cinema in September. U.S. cinemas get the movie on 23rd June. The film follows a group of tourists trapped in Louisiana swampland being hunted by a rampaging hippo. and is written and directed by James Nunn.

The cast includes Madison Davenport, Tracey Bonner, Joaquim de Almeida, Michel Curiel, Samantha Coughlan, Olivia Bernstone, Jim Meskimen, River Codack, Joe Azzopardi, Matthew Charlery-Smith, and Maxime Durand.

Set in the mysterious and dangerous landscape of the south-eastern American swamplands, a group of tourists embark on a boat tour. Unaware of the dangers of the bayou, they venture off the beaten path, lured by the promise of an exclusive adventure. Little do they know that their journey will turn into a fight for survival against a ravenous hippopotamus hiding in the depths. Hungry is a pulse-pounding survival thriller depicting the impossible struggle against one of nature’s most powerful beings.

Although set in Louisiana, Hungry was shot in Malta using their massive water tanks and controlled environments on studio sound stages. Looking forward to this one.
