Ryan Gosling earned his third Oscar nomination two years ago for his performance in Barbie, but last year, he starred in a gripping action thriller that just got an exciting streaming update. Gosling features alongside Emily Blunt (The Smashing Machine) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (28 Years Later) in The Fall Guy, the action/rom-com following a stuntman who gets wrapped up in a conspiracy while trying to win back the love of his life, his director. The Fall Guy is currently streaming on Prime Video, but Peacock has announced that it will join its streaming library for all subscribers on October 20.

The Fall Guy was a major hit among critics and audiences. The film registered a Certified Fresh 82% score from the former on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, and even an 84% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter. However, it failed to parlay this good reception into box office success. The Fall Guy grossed only $180 million at the box office, which would be a sizable haul for most movies, but not ones that carry a $130 million budget. The film finished its run as a flop, falling nearly $100 million short of its break-even point. Winston Duke (Black Panther) and Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) also have roles in The Fall Guy.

The Fall Guy is a remake of the ’80s TV series starring Lee Majors and Markie Post. Drew Pearce wrote the script for the film, with David Leitch directing. Leitch is an action savant best known for his work on Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw, and he’s also been recruited to direct the Gears of War movie adaptation. Pearce is best known for writing Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.

When Does Ryan Gosling’s Star Wars Movie Come Out?

Ryan Gosling’s Star Wars movie, Starfighter, will be released exclusively in theaters on May 28, 2027. The film began production this summer, and it’s expected to continue filming through the end of the year. Amy Adams, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, and Matt Smith have all signed on to star alongside Gosling in Starfighter, which will tell an all-new story with new characters. Shawn Levy is directing Star Wars: Starfighter with a script from Jonathan Tropper. Levy previously directed Deadpool & Wolverine for Disney, and also Free Guy and The Adam Project.
