Move Over Benoit Blanc, Netflix’s New Agatha Christie Series Trailer Unleashes a Fresh Mystery
Netflix has officially released the new trailer for its next Agatha Christie adaptation, which is coming on January 15. Below you’ll find the best look yet at Seven Dials, the new murder mystery limited series starring Martin Freeman, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Edward Bluemel, and more. The series is set in 1925 when what’s designed to be a harmless house prank turns deadly. Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent investigates a chilling murder while Lady Caterham and Superintendent Battle assist in solving the country house murder that changes Bundle’s life forever. The miniseries promises to deliver yet another thrilling Agatha Christie adventure.
Born in 1890, Agatha Christie spent her entire life writing beloved novels, many of which have been turned into live-action adaptations over the years. She passed away in 1976 at the age of 85, but her work has stood the test of time, and it will continue to do so with new projects like Seven Dials. Earlier this year, her Towards Zero novel was adapted into a three-episode miniseries that’s currently available to watch on Prime Video via a Britbox subscription. Ella Lily Hyland, Olivier Jackson-Cohen, Anjana Vasan, and Mimi Keene star in the limited series.
Seven Dials star Martin Freeman is best known for playing Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit movies, and he’s even famous for playing Everett Ross in both Black Panther movies and Secret Invasion. His Seven Dials co-star, Helena Bonham Carter, is famous for starring opposite Johnny Depp in the 2007 Sweeney Todd movie, and she can even be seen in other classics like Fight Club and Les Misérables. Ed Bluemel recently featured in the Hulu original series, Washington Black.
What’s Popular on Netflix Right Now?
Ahead of Seven Dials’ arrival, the most popular show on Netflix is The Witcher, which recently aired its fourth season starring Liam Hemsworth. Following closely behind The Witcher on streaming charts is Netflix’s new thriller series, The Asset, which is already being compared to Homeland. Nobody Wants This Season 2 is also hanging around on Netflix streaming charts. The most popular movie on Netflix right now is A House of Dynamite, the new political thriller from Kathryn Bigelow. Colin Farrell’s new movie, Ballad of a Small Player, is trailing A House of Dynamite on Netflix global streaming charts.
