Doomsday trailer could be arriving this week
Marvel fans have been waiting patiently for more Avengers: Doomsday footage after we were treated to a series of four short teasers over four weeks from December to January. It was speculated that the final teaser would be a look at Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom, but a fifth teaser never materialised.
However, it’s possible that the wait could be over this week for a new trailer, whether that’s another short teaser or an actual proper trailer. After all, Anthony and Joe Russo explained that the teasers we’ve seen so far were “not teasers, or trailers”.
This week sees the annual CinemaCon event take place in Las Vegas, an industry show where all the major studios preview their upcoming slate for exhibitors and other partners, among other things. Every year, new footage is revealed of major upcoming movies to build up the hype, and this is where we start to get hopeful of a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer.

Walt Disney Studios deliver their 2026 presentation on Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm PT, which is 10.30pm to 12.30am on Thursday night into the early hours of Friday in the UK. It’s all-but guaranteed that they’ll promote Avengers: Doomsday during their panel, alongside other upcoming movies like The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Toy Story 5.
For Avengers: Endgame in 2019, Disney showed off a scene from early on in the movie where the remaining Avengers, including Captain Marvel, formulate a plan to confront Thanos and try to bring their fallen friends back. We could be in for similar this year with Disney showing off a scene from Avengers: Doomsday rather than a trailer.
However, whatever they show at CinemaCon, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll get to see it. The Endgame clip was exclusive to those in attendance at CinemaCon, and it could be the same story here. Don’t expect leaks like at public events such as Comic-Con, but there will absolutely be footage descriptions of whatever gets shown.
Given that it’s been three months since the last teaser was released, and that Dune: Part Three (which is released on the same day) has now released its first trailer, we’ll remain hopeful that we will get to see an Avengers: Doomsday trailer this week.
It’s also likely that Disney will want to showcase Avengers: Doomsday by including a trailer in cinemas with their two major May releases – The Devil Wears Prada 2 and The Mandalorian & Grogu – so even if we don’t get a trailer this week, it shouldn’t be too much longer to wait for fans.

CinemaCon will also see panels from Sony (today), Warner Bros (Tuesday), Universal (Wednesday), Amazon MGM Studios (Wednesday) and Paramount (Thursday). It could be an exciting week for movie lovers with potential trailers or footage for The Odyssey, The Beatles movies and the Practical Magic sequel, among others.
Who knows, maybe Amazon want to break the Internet and announce the new James Bond too…
Avengers: Doomsday is released in cinemas on 18 December.
