Initial casting revealed for return of Secret Cinema’s ‘Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical’
As audiences enter the world of Grease at Evolution London, they enter the world of the hit movie, exploring iconic locations including Frosty Palace, The Autoshop, and The Carnival.
Initial casting has been revealed for the return of Secret Cinema’s Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical, which opens at Evolution London in Battersea Park for a limited run from 22 July to 13 September.
Reprising their roles from last year are Stephanie Costi and Lucy Penrose as Sandy and Rizzo respectively. They are joined by Giórgios Micheldes as Danny and Archangelo Ciulla as Kenickie.
In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, our critic said: “It is quite the spectacle, with the room fizzing in Grease-induced glee. Designed as a love letter to the much-beloved movie, Secret Cinema takes everything we adore about Grease and makes it even more electrifyin’.”
The creative team includes director Matthew Costain, set designer Tom Rogers, choreographer Jennifer Weber, lighting designer Howard Hudson, sound designer Gareth Fry, and video designer Ian William Galloway.
As audiences enter the world of Grease at Evolution London, they enter the world of the hit movie, exploring iconic locations including Frosty Palace, The Autoshop, and The Carnival. The show, which blends live theatre with the original movie, includes all of Grease’s beloved hits including “Summer Nights”, “Greased Lightnin’” and “We Go Together”.
Due to popular demand, the summer run will feature even more themed Roam and Return seating, which allows audiences to explore the experience and return to dedicated seating at Frosty Diner or The Drive-In.
