New Insidious movie with star of Netflix hit gets terrifying first trailer
The first trailer has dropped for Insidious: Out of the Further, though fans are encouraged not to watch this one until after their next dentist appointment. The sixth instalment in the Insidious franchise stars Amelia Eve, from Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Out of the Further is the follow-up to 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door, which became the highest-grossing film in the franchise, taking $189 million worldwide.
Eve stars as Gemma, a single mother raising her young daughter in her childhood home, who discovers she can travel into The Further.

The film’s synopsis reads: “When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back to the real world.
“Once the demons realise her power, our world becomes their playground.”
That means, for the first time in the Insidious franchise, the demons from The Further can be brought into the real world.
The trailer begins with a horrifying trip to the dentist, before we learn that Gemma has been plagued by nightmares that are scaring her daughter.
It’s not long before Lin Shaye’s Elise Rainier appears to tell Gemma that she’s not experiencing dreams. Instead, she has a “rare gift,” the ability to travel into The Further and bring demons back into the human world permanently.
As Gemma asks “What happens if I can’t control this?” the jump scares are plentiful, as the demons appear to be everywhere.
