USA TODAY’s Erin Jensen gives us an inside look what it was like to experience the first ever Hallmark Christmas themed cruise on the Norwegian Gem.
Alright, now that both Halloween and Thanksgiving are firmly behind us, it’s finally time to celebrate the Christmas season.
Well, Hallmark has been celebrating since Oct. 17 when its annual “Countdown to Christmas” event began. The greeting card and media company have been releasing a new movie every Saturday and Sunday since mid-October, except last week when they treated fans to seven new films to binge over Thanksgiving weekend.
This year, Hallmark is premiering 24 brand-new Christmas movies and there will also be the series premiere of “Mistletoe Murders” and “Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas,” plus a new season of “Finding Mr. Christmas” and “Baked With Love: Holiday.”
But for now, here are the new holiday movies Hallmark is releasing this weekend.
Up next on Hallmark’s ‘Countdown to Christmas’ lineup
- “She’s Making a List”: Saturday, Dec. 6. Lacey Chabert stars as the top inspector of a consulting firm, which Santa hires to help him build the Naughty and Nice List and she unexpectedly falls for the widowed father of a misbehaved 11-year-old she’s assessing.
- “Single on the 25th”: Sunday, Dec. 7. Inspired by singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith’s song of the same name, this film unpacks what happens when a woman spends the week before Christmas alone when her family unexpectedly cancels their holiday plans.

- “A Suite Holiday Romance”: Saturday, Dec. 13. When a woman agrees to ghostwrite a memoir for a famous art dealer at an iconic NYC hotel, she meets a visitor from England. In a whacky turn of events, they give each other the wrong first impression when she thinks he’s a British aristocrat and he thinks she’s a wealthy hotel guest.
- “Oy to the World”: Sunday, Dec. 14. After a water line at the temple breaks, members celebrate Hanukkah at an Episcopal church. However, Christmas Eve falls on the same day, so the rival choir directors must set aside their differences to collaborate.
- “A Make or Break Holiday”: Saturday, Dec. 20. Hunter King stars as one half of a couple who have gone on a break but pretend they’re still together while hosting their families for the holidays.
- “The Christmas Baby”: Sunday, Dec. 21. Days before Christmas, a newborn baby mysteriously appears on a couple’s doorstep along with a personally addressed note.
