A new album release, an engagement, and another movie event. Taylor Swift took a long break after The Eras Tour, and now the singer is returning with some new content meant for the theatre. According to a report, the same weekend as the release of her next album, The Life of a Showgirl, will feature a tie-in movie event for fans. Find out more below!
Taylor Swift‘s new album to have a movie tie-in?
The singer-songwriter’s last foray into theatres was The Eras Tour movie directed by Sam Wrench in 2023. Now, as per a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Swift is planning to launch either a movie or a documentary in theatres the same weekend as her album.
The movie review website, Letterboxd, seemed to confirm this as they entered the title, Untitled The Life Of A Showgirl Project, for fans to review later. On X, they posted the entry with a teasing eyes emoji. While the date of the new movie event is still not confirmed, the film would go up against the Dwayne Johnson drama The Smashing Machine and a limited rerelease of Avatar: The Way of Water in IMAX.
